Public safety plan
This Plan details how Endeavour Energy will invest and tailor activities to target at risk groups through safety awareness campaigns, educational programs, asset management programs, business processes and promote safe behaviours to reduce interaction with electricity infrastructure.
The Plan has been designed to:
- Raise awareness of electricity safety and the risks associated with the distribution and use of electricity
- Raise awareness of electrical safety amongst at-risk target groups
- Remind the public of hazardous situations involving electricity
- Demonstrate Endeavour Energy’s commitment to the safety of its community
Supporting safety awareness
The videos below have been developed to support the education and awareness of working safely near overhead powerlines for all public workers across a number of industries such as construction and agriculture.
These have been developed in consultation with SafeWork NSW, Look Up & Live, Ausgrid, Essential Energy, and Energy Queensland.
We encourage their use to help promote the need to plan before, as well as to ‘Look up and Live’ when on the job.
