What’s on your bill?

Your electricity bill comes from your energy retailer. Our role is to maintain the network that delivers power to your home. A retailer issues your electricity bill. Here’s what you’ll usually see on your electricity bill:

  • Supply charge: This helps cover the cost of maintaining the network
  • Usage charge: Based on how much electricity you use
  • Peak and off-peak rates: If your plan includes time-based pricing, you'll be charged different rates at different times of the day
  • Tariff type: Flat rate or time of use charges
  • Meter readings: Shows how much electricity you have used
  • Retailer contact: Who to call with questions
